, by which the undertaking Société générale SA (Société générale, France) acquires, within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Regulation, control of the whole of the undertaking Fiditalia SpA (Fiditalia, Italy) by way of purchase of shares. 2. This notification has been declared incomplete on 14 February 2002. The undertakings concerned have now provided the further information required. The notification became complete within the meaning of Article 10(1) of Regulation (EEC) No 4064/89 on 28 February 2002. Accordingly, the notification became effective on 1 March 2002. 3. The Commission invites interested third parties to submit their possible observations on the proposed operation.

Observations must reach the Commission not later than 10 days following the date of this publication. Observations can be sent by fax (No (32-2) 296 43 01 or 296 72 44) or by post, under reference COMP/M.2732 - Société générale/Fiditalia, to:
