            <TXT>Article 6(4) of Annex III to Decision 2002/822/EC allows ACP/EC-OCT cumulation of origin in the case of products falling within Chapter 17 and CN codes <FT TYPE="CN">18061030</FT> and <FT TYPE="CN">18061090</FT> up to an annual quantity of <FT TYPE="NUMBER">28000</FT> tonnes of sugar.</TXT>
         </NP>
      </CONSID>
      <CONSID>
         <NP>
            <NO.P>(2)</NO.P>
            <TXT>Applications have been submitted to the national authorities in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 192/2002 for the issuing of import licences for a total quantity exceeding that allowed under Decision 2001/822/EC.</TXT>
         </NP>

            <NO.P>(3)</NO.P>
            <TXT>Article 6(3) of Regulation (EC) No 192/2002 provides that, where licence applications cover an annual quantity in excess of <FT TYPE="NUMBER">28000</FT> tonnes, the Commission is to adopt a regulation fixing a single reducing coefficient to be applied to each application submitted and suspend the submission of further applications for the year in progress.</TXT>

            <TXT>The Commission must therefore fix the reducing coefficient for the issuing of import licences and suspend the submission of further licence applications for 2002,</TXT>

<ENACTING.TERMS>
   <ARTICLE IDENTIFIER="001">
      <TI.ART>Article 1</TI.ART>
      <ALINEA>Import licences covered by applications submitted by 14 February 2002 pursuant to Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 192/2002 for <FT TYPE="NUMBER">45000</FT> tonnes shall be issued for 62,22222 % of the quantity applied for.</ALINEA>
   </ARTICLE>
   <ARTICLE IDENTIFIER="002">
      <TI.ART>Article 2</TI.ART>
      <ALINEA>The submission of further applications for 2002 is hereby suspended.</ALINEA>
   </ARTICLE>
   <ARTICLE IDENTIFIER="003">
      <TI.ART>Article 3</TI.ART>
      <ALINEA>This Regulation shall enter into force on <DATE ISO="20020227">27 February 2002</DATE>.</ALINEA>
   </ARTICLE>
